adidas F50
The F50 arrived in 2004 and became adidas' answer to the question of how light a football boot can be. The F50 adizero of 2010 weighed around 165 grams and was, at the time, the lightest boot ever made — Lionel Messi wore it for a decade, and it defined the speed-boot category. The name was retired in 2019 and brought back in 2024 with the current F50, built on a Sprintframe 360 soleplate and a Fibertouch upper. It is the boot for players whose first weapon is acceleration.
